Codemasters sent us a new group of screenshots from its upcoming tactical action game, Operation Flashpoint. The new screens show off a wide variety of indoor and outdoor environments, along with several vehicles that will be featured in the game such as tanks, helicopters, personnel carriers, and jeeps. The screenshots also show off both the first- and third-person mode, along with views through scopes and gun sights.

Operation Flashpoint is set in the Cold War-era Soviet Union. Players assume the role of a NATO soldier on a peacekeeping mission. Characters in the game can advance in rank according to their success in the game's missions. In addition to combat on foot, several missions will let players engage in combat from air and land vehicles.

Operation Flashpoint is in development at Bohemia Interactive, and it is scheduled for release in September. For more information, take a look at our collection of screenshots, movies, and in-depth previews of the game and download the playable demo linked below.
