New On Shudder In March 2021: Exclusive Horror Movies, TV Shows, And More

From scary originals to horror classics and cult oddities, here's everything hitting Shudder next month.

Comments

AMC's horror streaming service Shudder announced an impressive line-up of original movies earlier this year, and several more are set to hit the platform in March. This is in addition to some great scary TV and a range of classic and cult releases from previous decades.

The new horror movie exclusives kick off on March 4 with Lucky, a time-loop horror in which a self-help writer finds herself targeted by a dangerous man every night. That's followed on March 11 by Stay out the Attic, about a group of movers who get more than they bargain for when they agree to clear an old mansion for a mysterious client.

There are two very different movies arriving on March 18. Slaxx is a horror comedy about a possessed pair of jeans, while the surreal festival hit Koko-Di Koko-Da focuses on a grieving couple who find themselves trapped in a disturbing fantasy world on a camping trip. The month's new films wrap up on March 25 with Violation, a revenge thriller written, directed, and starring Canadian filmmaker Madeleine Sims-Fewer.

Season 2 of the British fantasy series A Discovery of Witches also ends next month. The show is based on the All Souls Trilogy of novels by Deborah Harkness, and focuses on the hidden word of witchcraft and magic in Elizabethan London. Season 2 started in January, and Episodes 9 and 10--the final ones in the season--will hit Shudder in March.

There's a great mix of older movies arriving too. These include classics such as the slasher favorite The Burning, gloriously sleazy sequel Amityville II: The Possession, and Ken Russell's highly controversial religious allegory The Devils. Fans of vintage horror can check out the Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, and White Zombie, and while the 1990 cult oddity Shakma features a group of live-action role-players fighting an insane killer baboon. Yes, you read that correctly.
