October might feel like a long way off, but as horror streaming service Shudder has reminded us, April means we will be halfway to Halloween. To celebrate, the platform is set to deliver one of its biggest months to date.

April's biggest title is the long-awaited return of Creepshow. The first season of the horror anthology series was the platform's most successful series to date when it premiered in 2019, and there's much anticipation for this next batch of ghoulishly funny and spooky tales. And while the pandemic has meant we've had to wait a little longer for Season 2, the good news is that Season 3 has already been greenlit and is set to arrive later this year.

Next month also sees the streaming premiere of Peninsula, South Korean director Yeon Sang-ho's sequel to his hugely successful zombie hit Train to Busan. This is a bigger, more action-packed follow-up, which follows a team of mercenaries into a zombie-infested city as they attempt to retrieve some money. There's also two new British horror movies hitting the service--the '70s-set chiller The Power and the ghost story The Banishing--and the second part of the documentary In Search of Darkness, which takes a deep dive into '80s horror.

In terms of older movies, gore fans will definitely want to watch Tobe Hooper's outrageously over-the-top Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, while those in search of something a bit more subtle should seek out the chilling 1987 film The Stepfather. There's also the hilarious New Zealand horror comedy Housebound, the cult '70s favorite Horror Express, and two wild '90s films from Mexican director Alex de la Iglesia--Day of the Beast and Dance with the Devil. And everyone's favorite horror host, Joe Bob Briggs, returns with another season of The Last Drive-In.

Below, you'll find everything coming to Shudder in April.
