New On Max In August 2023: Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of The Realms, A Nightmare On Elm Street 1-5

It's the start of August, and for Max subscribers, that means that the service will be getting plenty of brand-new content added to its library. This month, subscribers can look forward to animated video game action and a reminder to never fall asleep whenever you're visiting Elm Street.

Coming August 1, get ready to stream the action-packed animated Mortal Kombat Legends sequel, Battle of The Realms. Lord Raiden seeks to end the tournaments' bloodshed once and for all, leading to one final Mortal Kombat tournament that will determine the future of all realms. This direct-to-video 2021 release features much of the original cast returning: Joel McHale as Johnny Cage, Jennifer Carpenter as Sonya Blade, Jordan Rodrigues as Liu Kang, and Patrick Seitz as Scorpion, just to name a few. Newcomers here include Bayardo De Murguia as Sub-Zero, alongside new characters like Kung Lao, Jade, and D'Vorah. Franchise co-creator Ed Boon serves as a consultant.

Also on August 1, Max has much of the entire Nightmare on Elm Street franchise coming to the platform. A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985), A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988), A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (1989), and A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), will be just a click away soon. Whether you're a hardcore fan or just getting acquainted with this supernatural slasher-horror series, it's the perfect time to catch up.
