New Nintendo Switch Controller Designs Available At Amazon

PowerA's popular line of wired Nintendo Switch controllers is now expanding to even more colors and designs.

PowerA is one of the most well-known and popular brands creating third-party Switch accessories today, and its line of "enhanced" Switch controllers is one of our favorites for gamers on a budget. The PowerA Switch controller line is particularly notable for offering a wide range of colorful, eye-catching designs while mimicking the look and feel of the first-party Pro Controller. A new batch of designs are up for pre-order now at Amazon and will release at the end of this month.

The best new design of the bunch, in my opinion, is a pastel blue and green controller that features the faces of some of Animal Crossing's most iconic villagers, like K.K. Slider, Tom Nook, and Isabelle. The tropical color scheme matches all the other merch that's been released around Animal Crossing: New Horizons, making it a great addition to any Animal Crossing fan's collection.

The new collection also brings two new Pikachu designs: one featuring an adorable pixelated Pikachu as a throwback to the old games, and a more modern-looking design with jagged lightning bolts across the front of the controller. There are also a pair of new Mario designs--only the latest new Mario products to release this year for the character's 35th anniversary. An understated Legend of Zelda design is up for grabs too, featuring a matte gray controller body with silver details.

Unfortunately, the new designs are part of PowerA's wired Switch controller collection, not the wireless one, but that also means they're much cheaper, selling for just $25. Considering the Pro Controller sells for $70, you can't beat that price and the quality you get with PowerA's enhanced Switch controllers. They're a tad lighter than the real thing but do a great job of maintaining the ergonomic feel of the Pro Controller. The wired version also doesn't require batteries like the wireless kind and features a 3.5mm audio jack for plugging in headphones.

Each of the new controller designs releases September 30, so you won't have to wait too long before it arrives. You can check out the new controller designs at Amazon below.
