It's dangerous to go alone! Take this.

The day has finally come: Nintendo's New 3DS has broken ground across the globe. This update introduces a bunch of improvements to the 3DS family that will ultimately benefit developers as well as players. Additional inputs, faster hardware, and improved stereoscopic 3D are the biggest changes, but there are little touches throughout that make the New 3DS the best one yet.

If you just picked up your New 3DS, are thinking of buying one as your first handheld, or are wondering if you should upgrade from your old 3DS, we've got plenty of articles and videos to guide you along the way.

Why You Should Buy a 3DS in 2015

"The Nintendo 3DS has transcended its humble beginnings, coming a long way since its quiet launch in early 2011. Now, nearly four years later, the 3DS library has become impressively varied, offering a hearty bang for your buck in terms of content. A handful of available titles, including Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, have sold upwards of two million copies each--and that's only in the games' first few months on the market. And with a dozen more first-party games coming this year alongside a brand new version of the hardware, it's difficult to ignore what this little machine has to offer."

Should You Upgrade the New 3DS?

Maybe you've already got a 3DS and you aren't sure if you should pick up one of the new models. In this video, we breakdown the best parts of the New 3DS and note how it's an improvement over the original versions.Sure, it's the better system, but the real questionis: should you upgrade now or later?

New 3DS XL Review

"Nintendo's always given people choices when it comes to handhelds, so it comes as no surprise to see new 3DS models on the horizon. Yet, the introduction of Nintendo's New 3DS and New 3DS XL feels different, probably because it's more than just a new form factor, or a stripped down value version. The new models have an improved processor, more buttons, and an extra camera that enhances the glasses-free 3D experience. They're practically the same size as the original 3DS and 3DS XL, but they're technically superior in every way. Where do New 3DS systems leave the old models? The answer: in their dust."

How to Transfer Data to Your New 3DS

"Nintendo made a video that clearly explains how to complete the task using a PC, but in case you'd rather refer to text, we've got a quick and easy guide below that shows you how to transition to your New 3DS XL as soon as possible. Make sure you've got a #0 Phillips screwdriver ready as you'll need it to remove the backplate on your New 3DS XL during the process."

Games That are Better on the New Nintendo 3DS

"For those who have decided to pick up a New Nintendo 3DS XL we have put together a list of games which stand to benefit the most from what the new handheld has to offer."

Nintendo Explains Why the Smaller New 3DS isn’t Coming to US

"During Wednesday's Nintendo Direct, the corporation announced that the New Nintendo 3DS XL will launch in the United States in February, but not the smaller version that's already available in Japan and Australia and is coming to Europe. Now, Nintendo has explained why the more compact system isn't going to be released stateside."

They could add a Minecraft for the new 3DS XL because of it's faster processing. It could be able to go on popular servers like TheNOVA.

Hard to believe how consistent the quality of games is on the 3DS. I don't know if I can trust the opinion of a gamer that doesn't have one or want one.

So far the only thing I don't like about my N3DS is the c-stick. It may just be that I'm not used to it, but sometimes while hunting it feels like it won't respond to my inputs. Aside from that I am loving the size as I previously had a 2DS and original 3DS.

Had the same problem at first. It's a little harder to grip it, so try pressing down on it while your moving it.

upgraded it. Love it, except the following that was changed:

- new Power location meh

- new stylus and location meh

Now to what never was changed:

- Headphone plug lcoation.... so you can't really play with it if you want to rest it against your belly (if you are lying in your bed and resting back to wall for example), the headphone plug sticks right into your belly and that can be seriously uncomfortable...

Otherwise, not even one thing to complain. Amazing and fun toy ! MM and MH4U are worth getting it and xenobladeobviously too soon.

<< LINK REMOVED >> I'm totally ok with the new power location. Personally I usually leave my 3DS in standby and I have my charger next to my bed so I'm not usually too worried about power.

The C-Stick works well i think especially in MM. the new 3D eye tracking works incredibly , I 'm literally considering going back and playing a lot of games with 3D turned on. I played a few with it turned off. Does anyone know if Pokemon X/Y or OR/AS still lag when 3D is on?

<< LINK REMOVED >> Yah, wish it kept the old place for the stylus. I am also not liking the location for the headphone. The power button position.., I get the feeling I might turn it off some rare times.

<< LINK REMOVED >> congrats mate, yeah new stylus location is kinda weird being at the bottom, guess takes getting use to, i actually wish my Wii U controller had in that spot. The new power button location was for people who were accidentally hitting it with right hand, so they moved to bottom of system to make harder to hit. I see your complaint with headphone spot, makes sense with being in your way being in front.

How are you enjoying that 3D? Have you tried it with Monster Hunter or Majora's Mask? I cant wait to try out those games.

Never once in all of these years have I once accidentally powered off the system, so no idea what you're referring too with that. Now pressing the home button accidentally I've done that plenty.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> home button on old 3DS was in same spot though, how did you accidently hit? it was in middle below touchscreen. The power button was below the right hand buttons, so if big hand and pressing with your thumb sometimes people would hit power button with wrist.

Ive never had problem hitting power button either, but some people always told me they did. OO, nvm mate, it was that the power button was where start button use to be located so some complained that they would think they were hitting start, but it was actually the power button.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> I got my 3ds yesterday with MH4U, yeah i agree on the stylus location, it's kind of a pain when you need it especially in MH4U when using the bottom screen keyboard to chat with people in multiplayer (fat fingers are definitely a negative for it).

The 3D works very well, the second camera on front makes a huge difference and gives a nice cushion on where your head can be and still see the 3D without straining your eyes.
