Tecmo is working on a new Ninja Gaiden project, though it's not immediately clear if it's a game or something else.

Series composer Keiji Yamagishi said on Twitter that he's "working on a new project related to Ninja Gaiden." More details will be divulged sometime in July.

"New project related to Ninja Gaiden" could mean a few things, whether that be a game or something else. We'll bring you all the details as they're announced.

Yamagishi also composed the music for other well-known games such as Tecmo Bowl, Captain Tsubasa, and Gitaroo Man.

Developer Team Ninja, which made the most recent game, 2014's Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, is now working on the PlayStation 4 action game Nioh.
