New Names of Sega's AM Spin-Offs Revealed
Sega has announced the official names of the spin-off companies from its nine AM R&D divisions.
Sega of Japan has announced on its web site the official names of the spin-off companies from its nine AM R&D divisions. On the left are the original division names, as they were structured within Sega of Japan. On the right are the new company names. Keep in mind the spelling for some of the names may vary.
New spin-off companies:
- AM1 R&D division (Dynamite Cop) -- Wau, Inc.
- AM3 R&D division (Virtua On) -- Hitmaker, Inc.
- AM4 R&D division -- Amusement Vision, Inc.
- AM5 R&D division -- Sega Rosso, Inc.
- AM6 R&D division (Jet Grind Radio) -- Smile Hit, Inc.
- AM7 R&D division (Sakura Wars, Eternal Arcadia) -- Overworks, Inc.
- AM8 R&D division (Sonic Adventure) -- Sonic Team, Inc.
- AM9 R&D division (Space Channel 5) -- United Game Artists, Inc.
- Digital Media Development Division -- Wavemaster, Inc.
