New Namco title for Xbox, PS2

Namco today officially announced Plague of Darkness (tentative title), a thriller set in Medieval Europe during the Black Death.

Set across eight different environments and incorporating weapons-based combat and spellcasting, the game stars Douran, a Knight of the Order armed with a holy relic, whose quest it is to defeat a demon that has plagued the living realm while trying to bring about its own resurrection.

Currently in development at Widescreen Games of Lyon, France, Plague of Darkness will feature online play and downloadable content on the Xbox and a number of exclusive extras on the PS2.
