New multiplayer IGI 2 mission available

Codemasters' latest patch for IGI 2: Covert Strike features a new multiplayer level set deep in a jungle.

Codemasters has today released a new patch for IGI 2: Covert Strike. The patch includes a number of bug fixes and the like, and it also features a brand-new multiplayer map in which operatives must infiltrate a Conspiracy base deep in a jungle, turn on its generator, hack into a computer to discover the base's purpose, and then destroy one of the two temple ruins that the Conspiracy has been using as cover. The patch, which weighs in at around 40.1MB, is available from Codemasters' official Web site and, if you're a GameSpot Complete member, via the link below.

IGI 2: Covert Strike is a first-person action game in which players take on the role of an ex-SAS soldier who now works as a covert operative for the fictional Institute for Geotactical Intelligence. For more information, check out our full review of the game.
