New media: TimeSplitters 2

Eidos Interactive has officially announced TimeSplitters 2 for the Sony PlayStation 2 and released new screenshots from the game. The game will be more story-driven than the original, with a complex narrative and multiple objective-based episodes. The game engine has been enhanced to accommodate larger backgrounds and the animation system has been virtually overhauled. Additionally, the intuitive map-maker, which made its debut with the original, will be improved in TimeSplitters 2.

TimeSplitters 2 will be released early next year.
