New media: Thunderstrike: Operation Phoenix

When Thunderstrike accompanied the launch of the Sega's Mega-CD hardware in 1993, no one could have guessed how popular the franchise would become. After versions of the game on the PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1995, Core Design will soon relaunch the franchise on the Sony PlayStation 2. Thunderstrike: Operation Phoenix offers single-player arcade and campaign modes and a cooperative multiplayer mode. The famous gunship is equipped with the latest weapons, including night vision and guided missiles.

Thunderstrike: Operation Phoenix will be published by Eidos Interactive, and it's scheduled to appear on the PS2 around September of this year. We'll have a full preview later this week. In the meantime, enjoy the large number of impressive new screenshots.
