New media: Spyro: Season of Ice

Universal has released new screenshots from and an official release date for Spyro's debut on a Nintendo console, Spyro: Season of Ice. Under development by Digital Eclipse, Season of Ice will include many of Spyro's signature moves as well as new spell effects and powers such as gliding, flaming, and spitting objects. There will be 30 levels in the final version of Season of Ice, including Space Age Speedway, Lava Prairie, Hummingbird Village, and Roman Holiday. In addition to traditional platforming gameplay, the Game Boy Advance version of Spyro will include pseudo-3D flying stages and a wealth of minigames.

Spyro: Season of Ice has been scheduled for a November release in the US. We'll have more information as it becomes available.
