New media: Shenmue II

AM2 has updated its Web site with several new screenshots from Shenmue II. The latest batch of shots show off one of the new characters that will be introduced in the game. Her name is Kou Shoei, and she's described as the type of person who remains calm and methodical in stressful situations. She is said to be thoroughly versed in Taoism--the teachings of Lao-tzu--and she has a broad knowledge of Chinese literature. Kou Shoei is a very mysterious character, and in the game she is slow to open up to Ryo.

Shenmue II for the Sega Dreamcast is currently on schedule to be released in November in North America.
