New media: Pool of Radiance

Ubi Soft releases new screenshots and video footage from its upcoming role-playing game sequel, Pool of Radiance: The Ruins of Myth Drannor.

Ubi Soft Entertainment has released a new video trailer and a new group of screenshots from its upcoming Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, Pool of Radiance: The Ruins of Myth Drannor. The new screens show off some of the creatures and characters players will encounter in the game, along with some of the detailed 3D environments that make up the gameworld. The video trailer features almost a minute of gameplay footage, and includes peeks at the game's turn-based combat system and a variety of spell effects.

Pool of Radiance: The Ruins of Myth Drannor is the sequel to one of the first computer Dungeons & Dragons role-playing games, Pool of Radiance, and it continues the storyline of the original game. In the sequel, players will control a group of characters who must travel to the ancient city of Myth Drannor in order to stop the evil that is spreading through the land.

Pool of Radiance: The Ruins of Myth Drannor is nearing completion at Stormfront Studios, and it is scheduled for release on September 25. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and watch the new video trailer linked below.
