New media: New Legends

THQ has released several new screenshots from New Legends for the Microsoft Xbox. The game's control scheme should be familiar to most action game fans, as the player is equipped with two standard attacks and one special attack. The special attacks are gained by defeating one of the five bosses and taking its particular weapon. The bosses wield elemental power, so their respective weapons can administer elemental attacks such as earthquakes and tornadoes. Adding further depth to the gameplay system, players will be able to lock on to a particular target at will and even go into a first-person mode for sniping.

New Legends is being development by members of the team responsible for the critically acclaimed PC game Jedi Knight. It is currently on schedule to be released alongside the North American launch of the Xbox console on November 8. GameSpot will have more on New Legends as it becomes available.
