Sony's Santa Monica development studio is currently working on Kinetica, a futuristic racing game which was officially unveiled at this year's E3 in Los Angeles. The company has released several new screenshots and a video clip from the game. Kinetica combines elements of both fast-paced racing and stunts. As players race through cylindrical tracks, clinging to the walls in their kinetic suits, they can perform a variety of tricks and stunts to earn points and speed up. Tricks include everything from backflips and handstands to aerial-based moves like 360-degree spins.

Kinetica will be released for the PlayStation 2 in October. GameSpot will have more in the coming weeks.

GameSpot may get a commission from retail offers.
