Black Isle Studios has released new screenshots from Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the Sony PlayStation 2. The screens highlight several new locations from the game, including the ice caves, mines, and locations on Burning Eye Mountain. As previously reported, the game is one of the most visually impressive products currently in development for the PS2. The texturing is intricately detailed, and the character models are relatively large and fluidly animated. In some of the screenshots shown, the brilliant water-based ripple effects in the game are prominently featured Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is an adventure-RPG, and it will be released for the PS2 in Q4 2001.
