Infogrames has released new screenshots from Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare for the Game Boy Color. The new screenshots show actual in-game footage, rather than the game's intro. The game plays from an isometric perspective, and players will be able to switch between weapons to eliminate all the evil monsters on Shadow Island.

The game tells the story of Edward Carnby and Aline Cedrac, who are on Shadow Island for different reasons. While Carnby examines the death of a friend, Cedrac is searching for ancient stone plates. Fate brings them together, and from there, they go through a winding adventure together to find the mysterious gate that unleashes all the evil on Shadow Island.

Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare is being developed by Darkworks, and it will be published by Infogrames. The Game Boy Color and PlayStation versions are currently scheduled for release in May, while the PC version should come to retail at the end of June. The Dreamcast and PS2 versions are set for release on September 1. These dates might change as the development progresses.
