Dontnod's beloved episodic title, Life Is Strange, is one of the many video game franchises getting the comic book treatment courtesy of Titan Comics. The first issue of Titan's four-part Life Is Strange series is set to arrive next week, but in the meantime, the publisher has given us our first glimpse at some of its artwork.
Like the original game, Titan's Life Is Strange comic follows main characters Max and Chloe shortly after the events of one of the title's "heart-breaking" endings. Here's the publisher's synopsis of the series: "This all-new emotional rollercoaster stars fan-favorites Max and Chloe, and picks up after one heart-breaking ending of the critically-acclaimed game! One year after Max fatefully chose Chloe over Arcadia Bay, timelines tangle around the pair in a literal fight against time!"
Life Is Strange is written by Emma Vieceli, with artwork by Claudia Leonardi. Ahead of its release, Titan has provided GameSpot with a handful of the comic's first lettered pages, as well as a few of its variant covers; you can read the excerpts from the upcoming issue by clicking through the gallery below.
Life Is Strange #1 goes on sale in brick-and-mortar and online comic stores on Wednesday, November 14. The issue runs 32 pages and retails for $4 USD. Titan hasn't yet announced when the remaining three issues of the series are slated to arrive, but you can see the publisher's release schedule on its website. As previously mentioned, Life Is Strange certainly isn't the only new video game comic from Titan. Last month, the publisher released Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep Vol. 1, a 112-page collection of the first four issues of Titan's Bloodborne series. That is on sale now for $17, while a fifth issue, titled Bloodborne: The Healing Thirst, launched in September. The publisher has also released a four-part comic based on Dark Souls called The Age of Fire, a "dramatic retelling of the Legends of Silver Knights" starring "all the main characters" from the game series.
