New King Kong Game Coming This Fall, Check Out The Trailer

A new King Kong game is coming to console and PC. Skull Island: Rise of Kong is a third-person action-adventure game where you play as Kong and attempt to avenge the death of your parents who were killed by the "ultimate alpha predator," a saurian named Gaw.

"Traverse the mysterious island and uncover its secrets across a variety of treacherous environments, discovering the power coursing through its exotic flora and fauna. Conquer waves of primal beasts, defeat unique bosses, and rise above all who stand in Kong's way to being King," reads a line from the game's description.

Players will gain new and better abilities as the game progresses, culminating in boss fights. The map on Skull Island has players exploring jungles, swamps, and caves.

Rise of Kong is published by GameMill Entertainment and developed in part by Iguanabee. The game is set for release this fall on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

There have been a number of Kong games over the years, but perhaps the most notable of them all was 2005's Peter Jackson's King Kong from Ubisoft, which adapted the events of the 2005 film. In 2022, Kong and Godzilla fought in Call of Duty.
