New Injustice 2 Story Trailer Shows Friends Becoming Enemies

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new story trailer for Injustice 2, the superhero fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios.

The video, which is titled "The Lines are Redrawn," shows the aftermath of the first game, during which Batman led a resistance against Superman's tyrannical regime. In the sequel, Batman is trying to put society back together, but is having to contest with heroes and villains that want to see Superman return to power.

The video teases new allegiances, with former allies such as Batman and Robin facing off in battle as enemies. And amongst it all a new threat emerges. Check out the trailer above or screenshots and new artwork below.

The last two characters to be revealed of Injustice 2 were Harley Quinn, who returns from the first game, and Deadshot, who appeared as a cameo character in the previous game but wasn't playable.

Other characters in the Injustice 2 roster include Batman, Superman, Supergirl, Aquaman, Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, Blue Beetle, and Wonder Woman. Iconic DC villain Darkseid is available to those that preorder Injustice 2.

Injustice 2's release date has been confirmed as May 16 and the game will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
