New info on Xbox One exclusive from Alan Wake dev may come to Video Game Awards
More information about Remedy's 2014 Xbox One-exclusive will be announced during December awards show, Microsoft teases.
More details about Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment's upcoming Xbox One-exclusive Quantum Break may be revealed at the 2013 VGX next month, Microsoft Studios corporate VP Phil Spencer has told Polygon.
After returning from a trip to Remedy's offices in Europe last week, Spencer said he feels "really good" about how Quantum Break is coming together. He said he is hopeful that more story and gameplay details on the game can be shared by the end of the year.
"Maybe VGX would be a good place for that," Spencer said. VGX is the new name for the Spike VGAs. This year's show will be held on December 7.
Quantum Break was officially announced at E3 2013 in June for a release in 2014. The game has remained largely under wraps since its announcement. According to its official description, Quantum Break "blurs the line between television and gameplay, integrating the two into one seamless, uniquely immersive experience."
Spencer also addressed Insomniac Games' upcoming Xbox-exclusive Sunset Overdrive, which was announced at E3 2013. A full section of the game is now playable, he said, noting that he is "feeling really good about the open world gameplay."
