It might have taken twenty years, but the sequel to '90s blockbuster Independence Day finally hits cinemas in a few weeks. Independence Day: Resurgence sees the human race once again forced to defend itself against extra-terrestrial invaders, and the latest TV spot provides a first look at the aliens' queen. Check it out below:

Resurgence sees Roland Emmerich in the director's chair once again, with Jeff Goldblum, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner, and Bill Pulman also returning. It also stars Maika Monroe, Liam Hemsworth, William Fichtner, and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Viewers who want to remind themelves of the original movie will be able to do so on June 23, at one of the special doubles features that are being screened across the country. To find out where and when, check out MovieTickets.com or Fandango.

In a recent interview with Fandango, Goldblum hinted that Resurgence may not be the last in series. "I think what they have in mind is that if this is well enjoyed, then they have some ideas," he said, via Slashfilm. "And there may even be an artful reference towards the end of the movie of what could [happen next]. It sets up the possibility that it's not over--that the fat lady has not yet sung."

Independence Day: Resurgence hits theaters on June 24.
