Following last month's releases of both a 2908452multiplayer beta demo and 2908886a single-player demo for IGI 2: Covert Strike, Codemasters has today released a second single-player demo on its official IGI 2 Web site. GameSpot Complete members can also download the demo from the link below.

The all-new 124MB demo released today sees players, as IGI agent David Jones, infiltrating a 1950s Soviet weather station high in the Carpathian Mountains. Jones' mission is to locate a nanotechnology chip that's believed to be in the hands of the local mafia. Specific objectives within the mission include locating a laser cutter and a silenced sniper rifle, breaking into offices, deactivating security systems, and launching a weather balloon.

IGI 2: Covert Strike is scheduled for release next week. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the game.
