New Ghostbusters Game Comes With Copy of New Movie and More in Premium Bundle

Activision has announced a premium version of its upcoming Ghostbusters game. The Ghostbusters Ultimate Bundle, priced at $65, comes with the game, extra DLC, two dashboard themes, and a code for a digital copy of this July's Ghostbusters reboot.

The Ultimate Bundle appears to be a digital-exclusive, and it won't be available on every system. A press release today said the premium bundle will be offered for PlayStation 4 through the PlayStation Store and "in select regions" for Xbox One in the Xbox Games Store.

No mention was made of a release for this version of the game on PC.

Here is the official description for what's included:

• The new standalone Ghostbusters video game.
• DLC featuring four classic character suits and a bonus trap based on art from the original film.
• A code for a digital copy of the new Ghostbusters movie to be delivered at a future date.
• Two special dashboard themes, one based on the movie and another inspired by the game.

The DLC mentioned above will also be given to people who preorder the standard $50 version of Ghostbusters digitally across console and PC. Additionally, Activision did not say when the Ghostbusters movie code will arrive or where you'll be able to download/stream it.

Activision's Ghostbusters is set after the events of Sony's upcoming movie, featuring "a new cast of rookie recruits," not those seen in the movie. It's described as a third-person action RPG that can be played solo or locally with co-op for up to four players. There is also an upgrade system, through which players can improve their character's gear and abilities.

The game comes out on July 12, just days before the Paul Feig-directed Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15. A mobile game called Ghostbusters: Slime City will come out on July 15 for iOS and Android devices.
