A new trailer for Gears of War 4 will apparently air this weekend during AMC's Fear the Walking Dead season two premiere. A teaser clip released today shows the game's main characters running through the woods while being hunted down by monsters. There is also lots of heavy breathing. A message says, "The Nightmare Reborn," which is the same line that's featured on the Gears of War's website countdown page.

Fear the Walking Dead's second season debuts on AMC this Sunday, April 10, at 9 PM EST. We will have the trailer and all the details for you as they're released.

On April 7, Microsoft launched a teaser website featuring a countdown clock set to end on Monday, April 11. People on NeoGAF pored over the site's source code and found a reference to The Nightmare Reborn, along with two videos, each of which showcases a downed plane in a lightning storm.

Gears of War community director Adam Fletcher teased the reveal further, saying it will come completely out of left field.

Gears of War 4 is scheduled to launch on October 11 for Xbox One. A PC version may also be released, but nothing has been confirmed at this stage. In other news, it's been confirmed that the game will offer split-screen play for multiplayer, though frame rate drops to 30 FPS when playing this way.

The Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta will begin later this month--check out this post to find out how to get in. On the subject of multiplayer, producer Rod Fergusson recently said Gears of War's multiplayer--since Gears of War 1--has been "under-served," and explained why Gears of War 4 will change that.
