New Fallout 4 Patch Out Now on PC, Fixes Broken Monorail Issue

The patch is coming to PS4 and Xbox One next week.

Bethesda has released a new patch for Fallout 4, but it doesn't add any new features or make a lot of fixes and changes. Instead, update 1.7.15 is focused on one thing and one thing alone: the Nuka-World monorail and getting it to work again.

The patch notes are decidedly brief, containing just one line: "Fixed issue with Nuka-World monorail not starting properly." Many people in the Bethesda forums say they encountered this issue, which is not related to any one platform. Reinstalling Nuka-World doesn't seem to work for everyone, either. The good news is that the patch is fixing the problem and we have an excuse to watch this excellent scene from The Simpsons again. Happy Friday.

Fallout 4 1.7.15 is out now on PC and will come to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next week, though a specific release date for the console version was not announced.

Nuka-World, which is Fallout 4's sixth and final add-on, came out on August 30 for all platforms. The content is set in a post-nuclear amusement park and features new quests and items, among other things.

Fallout 4's other expansions include Automatron (March 2016), Wasteland Workshop (April 2016), Far Harbor (May 2016), Contraptions Workshop (June 2016), and Vault-Tec Workshop (July 2016). All of that, as well as Nuka-World, is included with the $50 Fallout 4 DLC Pass.

Fallout 3 received a Game of the Year edition that included the base game and all DLC. It remains to be seen if Bethesda will release something similar for Fallout 4, but it seems likely.
