A new update for Fallout 4 arrived today. It introduced new features such as 300 more names for Codsworth's vocabulary and some bug fixes including one for where your character could become permanently invisible.

The update, 1.6, is out now on PC and is slated to come to Xbox One sometime next week. In a forum post, Bethesda said it's "working on timing for the PS4 version" and will share those details as soon as they become available.

This isn't the first time a Fallout 4 update is coming late for PS4. The game's mods program was supposed to come out in June, but Bethesda delayed its release indefinitely.

As for Fallout 4's new features in the 1.6 update, the friendly robot Codsworth's vocabulary has been updated with more than 300 new names. Unfortunately, a list was of the new ones was not provided.

Another new feature in the update is called ExitSave, which is created when you exit to the main menu. When you play again, the ExitSave will delete itself after you load it. This works with all of Fallout 4's difficult levels, including the ultra-tough Survival.

The update also prepares Fallout 4 for upcoming expansions; the Vault-Tec Workshop add-on comes out this month, while Nuka-World is slated to arrive in August.

As for the bug fixes, today's update clears out a problem where your character could become permanently invisible in some circumstances. Bethesda said this was only an "occasional issue," but it sounds like a big headache. Additionally, the update kills a bug that would cause the game to crash when targeting an enemy using VATS.
