The 2021 Game Awards took a turn for the spooky as a new CGI trailer for Dying Light 2: Stay Human debuted. The video was animated by BAFTA-winning animation studio Platige Image.

The two-minute trailer brings us to the dangerous world of The City, where survivors fight to repel the infected hordes. A survivor is shown doing whatever he can do to survive, including sacrificing other survivors to get a UV lantern that keeps the Infected at bay. He is successful in retrieving the item, but not necessarily in his mission.

Along with the trailer, developer Techland also revealed the preorder bonus for Dying Light 2: an exclusive skin pack created in collaboration with Rosario Dawson--who plays the hero Aiden's friend Lawan in the game. The pack will include multiple skins for Lawan, including a new outfit, a skin for her crossbow, one for her backpack, and one for her paraglider. Aiden will also receive the backpack skin and the paraglider skin.

Techland also announced their plans to commemorate the studio's 30th anniversary this month, including a free copy of Call of Juarez: Gunslinger via Steam from now until December 14 at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST, as well as a free weekend of the original Dying Light's Platinum Edition from now until December 13 at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST. If you miss the free weekend, the Dying Light Platinum Edition will see a 70% discount beginning the day after the free trial ends.
