Goku and more than 50 of his closest friends (and enemies) have arrived at North American retailers in the flight-based PlayStation 2 fighter Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi.

The first game in the series developed by Spike, Tenkaichi takes the 3D fighting of previous Budokai games and sets it across land, sea, and air in a number of destructible environments. Spike included five gameplay modes in Tenkaichi, most notably the Z battle gate mode, which compiles more than 100 plot-based matches set across a "greatest hits"-style collection of story arcs.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi is rated T for Teen and retails for $49.99. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's latest preview.
