Gamers who walked out on the box office bomb The Core will get a second chance to penetrate the earth's crust in the upcoming PC title Journey to the Center of the Earth. A demo of the title was released today and is available from the link below.

Based on the classic Jules Verne novel of the same name, this adventure title puts gamers in the role of a danger-seeking photographer named Ariane as she discovers and explores a subterranean world. As is often the case when people start fiddling with billions of gallons of hot magma, a terrifying secret threatens the world, and Ariane, no surprise, plays a central role in solving the mystery.

Journey's expected release date is October 15, with a suggested retail price of $19.99.
