A new trailer for Disney's live-action Cruella movie is out now, showing more of Emma Stone as the famous Disney villain. This newest trailer finally shows Cruella stealing some Dalmatians in hopes to turn them into a coat, which is one of her most dastardly deeds.

Set in 1970s London, the movie is an origin story of sorts for Cruella. Her name is Estella when we meet her, but after getting slighted by Emma Thompson's baroness character, Estella goes on the warpath and becomes the revenge-bent Cruella.

"She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets," reads a line from the movie's description.

Cruella is directed by Craig Gillespie, who previously made I, Tonya starring Margot Robbie. Glenn Close, who played Cruella in 101 Dalmatians, is an executive producer.

This is a fashion movie, so the costume designs are important. To that end, Disney hired Jenny Beavan, who won Oscars for Mad Max: Fury Road and A Room with a View, to make the costumes for Cruella.

People have remarked that Cruella appears to be tonally similar to Joker, but Stone and Gillespie believe the connections between the two films are tenuous.

"There are some really deep, emotional things that Cruella's dealing with that send her to the villainous darker side. So in that sense, it is [similar]," Gillespite said about comparisons to Joker. "But it's definitely its own thing. Just to sort of reframe Cruella, I thought it was important to show this darker side of her. But there's going to be a lot of fun, a lot of humor in it. There's a lot of absolutely delightful banter and rhythm to the style of it, which is different from Joker."

Cruella releases in theaters and on Disney Plus with Premier Access on May 28.
