New Clip For The Batman Announces New Trailer During DC FanDome

The virtual convention will take place on October 16.

A new trailer for DC's upcoming movie The Batman will be released during the comics giant's virtual convention DC FanDome on October 16. This trailer was also recently promised in a series of announcements the convention sent out last week.

The Batman is a much-anticipated and long-delayed movie, which wrapped filming back in March. Director Matt Reeves' (Cloverfield, Felicity) The Batman will focus on the Caped Crusader--played by Robert Pattinson--in his early years: The second year of Batman's career, and it's not taking place on the same Earth as other DC movies like Justice League, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman. The big bads will be Riddler, played by Paul Dano (Swiss Army Man), and Penguin, played by Colin Farrell (True Detective), will also factor into the plot somehow. Check out the new tweet with a sweet audio clip from the movie below.

DC FanDome is the global virtual fan event featuring a live webcast with tons of updates, trailers, and announcements offering new information on all DC content, including movies, TV shows, comics, and more. The Batman is expected to be released on March 4, 2022. The film endured several production delays due to the pandemic, and before that, Ben Affleck's desire to step away from playing Batman.
