Ahead of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's launch on October 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision have shared a launch trailer, which is set to the tune of a classic heavy metal song.
Synched to Metallica's "Enter Sandman" from the band's 1991 self-titled album, the trailer, above, hints at how engagement rules in warfare have changed. As the trailer goes dark, it sequences through various scenes of destruction, explosions, infiltration, and shooting. The gloves have come off and the action is getting a little crazy.
With reports of the PS4 officially having cross-play, Modern Warfare will be among the first titles to support the feature when the game launches later this month. Further, Modern Warfare's 100-player multiplayer mode is expected to be available day one. And the developer has confirmed that the beloved Special Ops mode will release alongside the game.
