Activision has announced the first details and published the debut trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's fourth and final expansion, Reckoning. The DLC launches August 4 for Xbox One and Xbox 360, and will come to PlayStation platforms and PC about a month later.

Included in the expansion pack are four new multiplayer maps (Overload, Quarantine, Fracture, and Swarm), as well as the final chapter in Advanced Warfare's Exo Zombies mode.

Called "Descent," the episode continues the story of soldiers played by celebrities. They discover that the character actor John Malkovich plays, Oz, becomes a zombie. Presumably, things get ugly.

Descent is set on a "survival facility" in the middle of the ocean, and also includes new "fused" zombie enemies (briefly shown in the trailer) and an all-new Trident Reflected Energy weapon. This gun is also on display in the video--it looks totally crazy.

The expansion, as well as the previous three, are available to buy for $15 each. They are also available at a discount through the $50 Advanced Warfare DLC pass.

There needs to be some classic Malkovich dialogue as he munches on people.

But will there be a tiny door that the player can go through that allows the player to be zombie John Malkovich?

I think this COD was an epic fail and I am glad I didn't get season pass, I just wish I had a disk to trade in. I wish they would allow digital trade ins, now that would make a lot of people happy.

Can someone navigate this revenue model for me? So can I play zombie stuff if I buy the game?

@cjtopspin:

If you're talking about buying the Advanced Warfare by itself, then no... The zombie mode is like a 10 or $15 add-on.

AW was the first COD that I never bought a collectors edition for. Which includes all the DLC and extra stuff. Glad I didn't because I sold the game 60 days after launch. Really hoping BO3 is much better.

@fig56: probably not, but then Treyarch does do good net code so it's 50/50.

@madgame23: & yet BO1 had terrible hit detection. BO2 was horrible until they patched it. The only really good game from them was W@W.
