New Black Widow Posters Reveal Other People In Natasha's Costume

There's more than one Black Widow in the upcoming movie.

Arriving in theaters and to Disney+ Premier Access on July 9, the first MCU movie in Phase 4 is none other than Black Widow. To celebrate the upcoming release, Disney has unleashed a slew of new posters for the movie, featuring Rachel Weisz's character in the Black Widow costume.

Weisz plays fellow assassin Melina Vostokoff, who in the comics trained as an assassin, but always in the shadows of Natasha Romanoff. As you can see from the poster below, she's wearing a similar outfit we've seen Black Widow wear in the other MCU movies.

In addition to Weisz, other posters were revealed for Taskmaster, Red Guardian (David Harbour), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Mason (O-T Fagbenle), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). What's interesting with the new images is that the poster for Taskmaster is the only poster without an actor listed. Considering Melina's journey in the comics, it's not out of the question to speculate that she becomes Taskmaster.

Although Romanoff's future in the MCU isn't bright--because she's dead--Black Widow will follow the titular character's past as her origin is uncovered, prior to her years as an Avenger. Fans will finally get to see just where this highly-trained spy came from before she was saving the world.

Black Widow was originally supposed to hit theaters on May 1, 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic caused a series of delays. Back in March 2021, Disney finally decided to release Black Widow in theaters and on Disney+ simultaneously. However, the movie's release on the streaming service won't be available to every subscriber. It will release as part of Disney+'s Premier Access, which comes at an added cost of a one-time $30 rental--one you can watch as many times as you wish.
