New Beyond Good & Evil Trademark Shows Up

damn it ubisoft, stop taunting us

Beyond Good And Evil 2 is Ubisoft's Half-Life 3. (i.e. that game that everybody wants but the developer is too busy making junk nobody asked for to complete.)

This is so goddamn meaningless to me.

I've stopped caring for something that has taken so incredibly long to come out, or even be in production. ADD THAT TO THE FACT THAT UBISOFT HAS BEEN COMPLETE GARBAGE IN TERMS OF QUALITY IN RECENT YEARS DOES NOT HELP HERE EITHER. Sorry, I had my caps lock on.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 will be a Nintendo NX launch title.

At this point I'm certain the game will be a complete train wreck. See: Daikatana, Duke Nukem Forever. Games stuck in development hell for this long rarely turn out well.

Too bad I'm now "beyond" giving a shit about this franchise.

In a galaxy far, far, away Ubisoft was beloved by gamers but the Dark Side inside them emerged, consuming their games with bugs, microtransactions and DRM. The power of the Light Force from a different publisher is the only thing that can save Beyond Good & Evil 2 now. Let us pray for a miracle...

I suspect Beyond Good and Evil 2 will come out the same day as Half Life 3

Ubisoft has dragged their feet with this sequel for so long, The Last Guardian was announced and will likely land on shelves before we even see a trailer for it. Kingdom Hearts III will also likely have a release date before this.

I remember being excited for Beyond Good & Evil 2 back in 2008 when they showed off that teaser.... but it's been eight years, and we've seen NOTHING ELSE. It's really difficult to hold our excitement for such an absurd about of time for a sequel that isn't even part of an established franchise.

We won't see a Beyond Good & Evil 2 until Ubisoft finds a way to implement open world tower gameplay into the game......

Pretty sure Ubisoft had trademarks applications filed back in 2008. Doesn't really mean anything.

What's different now is the Destructoid rumor. While that rumor does lend a bit of credence to the possibility that this game will actually come out, I don't believe it until it's been confirmed.

My god, The Last Guardian will be out before this game ever sees the light of day.
