A new trailer for Battlefield 1 is scheduled to arrive today, focusing on the WWI shooter's campaign. Ahead of that, the ESRB has published its rating for the game, and included in the description are some details about the single-player story and the characters you'll control.

The rating description explains that Battlefield 1 is set in "various locations" during the Great War. Players will take on the roles of a number of characters as the plot unfolds, including, according to the description, a fighter pilot, an armor crewman, a rebel fighter, and a "message-runner."

No further details about these characters, or the battle settings, were divulged in the ESRB description. We may learn more later today, however, when the trailer comes out.

The ESRB rated Battlefield 1 M for Mature, a rating that is not surprising given the subject matter and the franchise's historical ratings. The description goes on to say that players will use rifles, pistols, machine guns, and grenades to vanquish their enemies in "frenetic, realistic combat."

"Battles are highlighted by frequent gunfire, cries of pain, and explosions," the description goes on to detail. "Some sequences depict enemies wielding flamethrowers; soldiers can be heard screaming while engulfed in flames. Players can also use knives or bayonets to stab enemies in stealth attacks. Splashes of blood can be seen when enemies are hit; one sequence depicts blood and corpses on a beach after a battle. The word 'f**k' appears in the dialogue."

GameSpot will post the new Battlefield 1 trailer later today as soon as it becomes available. EA hasn't said when it will debut, but keep checking back.

Battlefield 1 comes out on October 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. EA/Origin Access members can start playing on October 13, while people who buy the Early Enlister edition can get in on October 18
