New Barbarossa to Berlin ships

Improved version of WWII RTS to feature new scenarios, vehicles.

PC panzer commanders going through tank-battle withdrawal now have a temporary remedy. Battlefront.com is shipping a "new-and-improved" special edition of its acclaimed game, Combat Mission II: Barbarossa to Berlin, to stores.

Previously only available at Battlefront.com's online store, the special edition sports new vehicles, uniforms, and scenarios, as well as improved game environments. The price was not available at press time, but it could vary from the the regular edition's MSRP of $39.99.

Set during World War II, CMII: BTB drops players into the thick of the Russo-German conflict. Gamers can fight tank and infantry battles in more than 160 different scenarios or create their own skirmishes via a level editor. The game features more than 300 different vehicles and 600 troop types, and it has won awards from nearly a dozen game publications, including GameSpot's own "Editor's Choice" award.
