ARK: Survival Evolved players will be able to take control of any of the game's many creatures in a mode set to release later this year. Studio Wildcard co-founder Jesse Rapczak revealed this and much more on Monday's PC Gaming Show.

When you choose to play as one of Ark's creatures, you'll have the full survival experience with life cycles, mating, building dens, and more. This means you can be a dinosaur in Ark for the first time. You'll be able to play with and against other players in addition to AI-controlled creatures. Wildcard added that this opens up new possibilities for mods. You can take a look at it for yourself in the images below.

The largest dinosaur Ark has seen so far was also revealed. The appropriately named Titanosaur, which can carry a lot of weight and act as mobile fortification. The Titanosaur walks through everything that's in its path, including creatures and buildings. You can see the Titanosaur in the gallery above.

A new biome was revealed as well. The Redwood Forest is full of huge trees, which you can build treehouses and villages in--if you've ever dreamt of being an Ewok, here's your chance. The treehouse villages give you a height and tactical advantage that can be utilized to protect you and take out attackers. See what it looks like for yourself in the gallery above.

Lastly, the second official mod, called Primitive+, will launch for Ark on July 28 for Xbox One and PC. It challenges players to use only organic materials with no advanced metals. There's a whole bunch of new items and mechanics focused on surviving primitively.
