New Age of Sail II Screens

TalonSoft releases 15 new screenshots from its upcoming historical naval combat game.

TalonSoft has released 15 new screenshots from its upcoming sequel to the award-winning 1996 naval combat game, Age of Sail. Age of Sail II features a realistic 3D sailing model and includes more than 1,200 historical warships from the period between 1775 and 1820. More than 100 scenarios allow players to take part in a wide variety of historical conflicts, including the Battle of the Nile and the destruction of the Spanish Armada. Players can sail the tall ships of either the American or British navy and advance through the ranks from ensign to admiral. A multiplayer mode supports up to 16 players through LAN or Internet connections.

For more information about the game, visit the official Age of Sail II web site. Age of Sail II is being developed by Russian studio Akella, which is also developing the upcoming pirate role-playing game Sea Dogs. Age of Sail II is scheduled for release in January 2001.
