Neverwinter Nights tops the charts

BioWare's Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game takes the lead in the latest list of best-selling PC games.

Neverwinter Nights, BioWare's ambitious Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, debuted at number one on NPD Techworld's latest weekly list of best-selling games. The game was released by Infogrames' Atari label in mid-June and has received praise for its epic single-player campaign and innovative multiplayer features. The Sims: Vacation, Electronic Arts' latest virtual-life game expansion, came in second place, followed by The Sims, EA's best-selling virtual-life game. Electronic Arts also took third place with Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, its World War II first-person action game. Backyard Baseball 2003, Infogrames' latest family friendly sports game, came in at number five.
