Netflix's adaptation of The Witcher book series by Andrzej Sapkowski gave megafan of the series and star Henry Cavill, a passion project as Geralt of Rivia. After three seasons, Cavill is leaving the sword and sorcery series leaving Liam Hemsworth taking up the greatswords of the Witcher, but the Season 3 trailer still has plenty of action for fans to take in before Cavill takes a bow.

Geralt and sorceress Yennefer are fighting to keep Witcher-in-training Ciri safe as war brews on the Continent. While the trailer tones down the monster hunting with more dramatic intrigue on the forefront, Geralt will still be facing off against some hellish beasts, trying to make the world safe one kill at a time. Check it out the trailer below.

Season 3 adapts the second book in author Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher series, Time of Contempt. "For years, Geralt has claimed neutrality, shunned politics, and publicly asserted that witchers don't have emotions--all to make his life as a killer easier to navigate. We've seen him battle monsters and monstrous humans; we've watched as he's hardened himself in order to survive. This season, he can no longer do that," series creator and showrunner Lauren Hissrich said in a blog post.

The Witcher Season 3 premieres June 29. Part 2 of Season 3 follows four weeks later on July 27.

Alongside Cavill, Netflix's The Witcher also stars Freya Allan as Ciri and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer.
