Netflix's The Last Mercenary Trailer Features Jean-Claude Van Damme Wearing Various Wigs
JCVD is back, doing the splits, and kicking people while wearing so many different wigs.
Prepare to wig out for the upcoming Netflix original The Last Mercenary. If you don't own an extensive collection of wigs for the action movie, don't worry, because Jean-Claude Van Damme is wearing them all just for you in the latest trailer.
Arriving on July 30, action star JCVD plays Richard Brumère, a former French secret service special agent who has become a butt-kicking mercenary. He's called back to action to protect his son. Check out the wigs, the splits, and all the action in the trailer below, which was released during Netflix's Geeked Week.
In order to save his son, "Richard will have to reach out to his old contacts, join forces with a bunch of reckless youngsters from the projects and an offbeat bureaucrat," and he must find the courage to let his son know that he's actually his father.
The upcoming movie is directed by David Charhon (On the Other Side of the Tracks) and features Charhon and Ismaël Sy Savané (The Take) are writers. Aside from JCVD, The Last Mercenary stars Alban Ivanov (Lucky), Assa Sylla (The Mortel), Samir Decazza (Validé ), Patrick Timsit (Poly), Eric Judor (Platane), and Miou-Miou (In Safe Hands).
This was just one of many announcements from day one of Netflix Geeked Week, which showcases upcoming original movies and TV series to the streaming service. Geeked Week debuted a video for the upcoming Vikings prequel, Vikings: Valhalla, a trailer for the vampire movie Blood Red Sky, and announced that Shadow & Bone will be getting a second season.
