Netflix Offers First Look At Exception, Yoshitaka Amano's Suspenseful Horror Anime

As part of Netflix Geeked Week, the streaming service has released a set of five photos offering a first look at Exception, an upcoming horror anime from Yoshitaka Amano. The series is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2022, but no release date has been announced yet.

A brief synopsis for Exception is as follows: "In the distant future, human beings have been forced to leave earth and migrate to another galaxy. An advanced team of spacecraft arrives at a planet that is to be terraformed. Each member of the team is output by a biological 3D printer." Check out all the new images below.

The series is based on a new story and script by novelist and filmmaker Hirotaka Adachi (aka "Otsuichi"), and features character designs by Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano. Amano is the artist behind all the logos of the mainline Final Fantasy games. Yūzō Satō is directing the series and Bakken Record and 5 Inc. are producing the anime.
