Possibly your last chance before Christmas.

Best Buy is the next store to confirm it will have more NES Classic Edition consoles in stock. You'll have your chance to pick one up next Tuesday.

As first reported by BGR, GameSpot has confirmed with the retailer that the hard-to-find system will be back in "limited quantities." A call to a local Best Buy yielded a pre-recorded message that first outlined upcoming store hours and then shared details on availability of the Classic Edition.

It states the consoles will be sold in-store, but not on Best Buy's website. They'll be available on Tuesday, December 20, and sold on a first-come, first-served basis. "Just like on Black Friday, our stores will have a ticketing process for customers waiting in line," it says. "We will only pass out as many tickets as we have consoles and quantities will not be released over the phone."

GameStop also recently restocked the system in a somewhat similar fashion. Other retailers have taken alternative approaches to selling their allotments. ThinkGeek randomly selected people with one on their wishlist and offered them 24 hours to buy the console. Amazon, meanwhile, has diverted some of its stock to its physical storefronts and Prime Now locations.

We learned this week that the Classic Edition sold 196,000 systems in the US during November. That's a huge figure, but one that could have been much higher if Nintendo were able to meet consumer demand. A resale market for the system emerged immediately at launch, when the $60 box began being sold for upwards of $200 on eBay.
