Ghost Games' upcoming next-generation racing game Need for Speed: Rivals will feature integration with the upcoming Need for Speed movie with Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul.

"I am happy to say that players will have the ability to own, personalize, upgrade and drive Aaron Paul's signature Ford Mustang GT that he drives in the Need for Speed movie," lead designer James Moaut said in an interview on the Xbox Wire.

The Need for Speed movie will be released in theaters on March 14, 2014. It tells the story of a street racer (Paul) who teams up with an arrogant associate (Captain America's Dominic Cooper) only to find himself framed and sent to prison. After leaving the clink, he joins a New York-to-Los Angeles race to score revenge.

Also in the Xbox Wire interview, Moaut reiterated that Need for Speed: Rivals is "destroying" the line between single-player and multiplayer through its new AllDrive feature.

"The big revolution in the Need for Speed franchise is definitely our AllDrive, and it is how we are destroying the line between single-player and multiplayer gaming, rethinking what it means to play with other people and still have your own personal career goals to complete however you see fit," Moaut said.

AllDrive is a system in Need for Speed: Rivals that combines single-player with multiplayer, allowing users to "seamlessly" jump into another player's gameworld. Gamers can then play out their careers either cooperatively or competitively.

"This mean that if I were playing as a cop, working on a career goal to bust 5 racers to proceed to the next rank, I could bump into another cop in the world who is in the middle of a hot pursuit event and I could help him bust his racers together so we both benefit," Moaut said.

Need for Speed: Rivals launches for current- and next-generation consoles, as well as PC, in November. The game runs on the Frostbite 3 engine, the same technology that powers Battlefield 4.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Lol, I didn't catch that until you mentioned it. Integratation? Sounds like a hillbilly version of the word.

<< LINK REMOVED >> As if Need for Speed invented the fast-cars-and-little-else genre.

Destroying the line between SP and MP also destroys my interest in the game. The AllDrive system sounds like it *could* add to the experience, but strangers working together online? I'm a bit sceptic on that point.

<< LINK REMOVED >> it is 50 / 50 but by the looks of it they can help you but at the same time it won't effect you heavily if they suck.

Integration? Being able to "customise the car from the movie" is considered integration?

Eddie, do we need to get you a dictionary and a translator since you got "inegration" from "I am happy to say that players will have the ability to own, personalize, upgrade and drive Aaron Paul's signature Ford Mustang GT that he drives in the Need for Speed movie,"?

NFS Rivals will feature "integratation" (???) with the upcoming movie, as in you'll be able to drive the car from the movie. Big f***ing intergamealation!

Unfortunately the trailer for the movie looked kinda awful. Good lead actor but the trailer just wasn't all that exciting.

Looking forward to this. Need For Speed has had its ups and downs like any series, but hopefully it will make for a good next gen option
