With the addition of BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite today, there are now more than 300 Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility. That wasn't the only notable milestone that came to light today. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has now revealed that almost half of all Xbox One owners are playing Xbox 360 games on their consoles via backwards compatibility.

"Thanks for supporting the program," Spencer said.

The Xbox One's backwards compatibility feature launched in November 2015 with the New Xbox One Experience update. As of November 2016, people have spent more than 210 million hours playing Xbox 360 games on Xbox One, which is up from 145 million hours as of August 2016.

With all the BioShock games now added to the backwards compatibility program, there are no announced games for the catalog that are still to be added. On the Xbox Feedback site, the top five most-requested games are Call of Duty: Black Ops II, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

In other news about Xbox backwards compatibility, Microsoft engineering lead Mike Ybarra said recently that Project Scorpio will "of course" support backwards compatibility.
