Midway has announced that NBA Ballers will be available this fall for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. This one-on-one street-style basketball game features 60 current NBA superstars (such as Tracy McGrady and Chris Webber) as well as 24 of the all-time greats. The game will feature online support for the PlayStation 2 in the form of ladder matches and tournaments. In these online games, players can also wager goods in their player's possession, such as licensed cars and mansions, as well as wager players that they've unlocked by playing through the game. NBA Ballers also features a variety of other modes, such as rags to riches, where players can earn money to purchase cars or houses. There's also a last-man-standing team mode.

"NBA Ballers is set as a made-for-TV broadcast event that takes place at the many fabulous backyard courts of the NBA's greatest stars," said Helene Sheeler, vice president of marketing at Midway. "Ballers allows gamers to be a part of the spectacular world of real NBA players as they battle with intense and authentic one-on-one matchups to determine who is the best baller in the world."

We'll have more on the game soon.
